Reviews Summary

Parque del Periodista is celebrated for its vibrant, eclectic atmosphere and as an authentic slice of Medellin life, particularly at night. Visitors appreciate the diverse crowd and the freedom of expression. However, some find it not suitable for children and advise caution due to the nature of some activities and the need for street smarts.

"I actually really like this park but it’s not for everyone! There is a very eclectic mix of people. Everyone is free to express themselves in any way they want, which includes partaking in certain activities that some may want to stay away from. Great place to have a drink, people watch, and relax. However, I would not bring kids here, not even my pet. There are stores along the perimeter of the park where you can buy alcohol and snacks. Police come by every so often and they may ask for your identification “for no reason” but they’re just checking if you have a background."
