What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Pozos Azules offers a visually striking experience with its unique turquoise pools and desert landscape, making it a popular spot for photos and short hikes. However, some visitors note that the pools are artificial and can be crowded during peak times, with occasional issues regarding loud music and tour operator practices.
"Pozos Azules is a mini hike but very beautiful. I love the small walk and how clean the lakes are. My dog enjoyed running around the place."

"Why is it that Colombians insist on ruining the view of their beauty spots with these awful, kitsch signs every time?
Don't expect a peaceful walk at peak-times - people bring loud speakers to blast their music to accompany their Instagram/TikTok photo shoots, and of course, shout at each other a lot.
The staff working there are very clearly depressed and bored to death."

"I am Colombian and we did the cuatrimotos. Me and my husband (Italian) booked the tour in town.
The dessert landscape is beautiful and the cuatrimoto experience is nice. Everything else is not so great:
1.They wanted to put 7 adults in a car for 5 people. No seatbelts, driver was talking by phone when driving, he was talking how to sneak the police for for taking many people. Clearly it is illegal but they only care about money.
2. 'entrance' : there is not entrance so you pay for crossing from the car parking to the cuatrimotos parking. No seats, no waiting place, no toilets. Basically you pay for crossing a piece of the road. Tow steps forward you pay again for an insurance. Then at the top of the trail there is another guy waiting you to pay for a video.
3. the guide : a guy that goes riding a motorbike again talking by phone all the time, driving with one hand. He did not explain anything about the place. At the end they a tip for the guide a tip for nothing. 4
4. Pozos azules are not as great as they say. They are small artificial pond that locals did for irrigation."
