Reviews Summary
Los Lagos Hot Springs is highly praised for its stunning Arenal Volcano views, numerous clean and relaxing hot spring pools, and fun water slides that delight families. Guests appreciate the spacious rooms, excellent breakfast buffet, and the well-maintained, lush grounds perfect for exploration. While some find the on-site food a bit pricey and the walls thin, the overall experience is overwhelmingly positive, with many eager to return.
"I’m really impressed. Check in was thorough, informative and all staff were polite. The pools- amazing, clean, refreshing, relaxing. The slides- holy speed, once was enough for me, but my 4 children went nonstop. The hot spring pools had some great options for privacy. The rooms- large and spacious, mini fridge, balcony was amazing, the views spectacular, the water pressure was impressive( you know those hotel that it trickles out of, not here) the pathways around the resort were stunning and fun to explore! Breakfast buffet was top notch- fresh made omelets, fresh fruit, and so kick more. We didn’t go to the Spa, but we did pass it and it looked beautiful. We drove to the lookout point for volcano and it was probably the best family photo backdrop we got all trip! It was hard to leave this resort. Already trying to figure out when we can come back. There’s grounds were well kept and the staff were all very supportive."

"Loved our stay here! The property is less than 10 minutes from La Fortuna, making it a perfect location.
The complimentary breakfast was solid with a fresh omelet bar, juices, and plenty of hearty options.
The hot springs were a highlight, so many pools to choose from. We especially enjoyed the couples pool and the ones located higher up, which were absolute perfection.
Rooms were very spacious, though the walls are quite thin, we could hear neighbors’ conversations and doors closing. Rainfall at night was also loud, but it added to the feel. The layout of the resort made it easy to get around without using the shuttle. Some other rooms you definitely need it.
Special thanks to Gustavo in the restaurant he went above and beyond to take care of us.
Overall, a great stay and we’d recommend it!"

"I was lucky to even get a room here since it was sold out everywhere, especially the large family room that comfortably fit all 5 of us. It was between this resort and the one within the national park near the volcano, but they were more remote and the reviewers that it was dated and tired. Even though our room was up the hill about a kilometer away, we had a car rental so we didn't have to wait for the shuttle bus.
What I liked about Los Lagos resort is that it has a huge breakfast buffet, multiple swimming pools and small pools of varying temperatures, and its within 15 minutes of downtown La Fortuna, so a good base to do all the activities in the area. I also loved that everything was self-contained with two restaurants/pizza for lunch and dinner without going into town. It was a perfect place to just unwind and relax with the view of the volcano...I highly recommend Los Lagos Spa & Resort!"
