The donation-based entry and the option for guided snorkeling tours are appreciated. However, some visitors have reported negative experiences with local businesses outside the park, emphasizing the importance of choosing reputable establishments.

"I was there before the park, set our nets at night got our lobsters in the morning ."

"A very easy trail, passing by some idyllic beaches. The animal sounds were impressive.
Caution!
Once you finish in Puerto Vargas, it's not recommended to visit the "Boca Chica" restaurant, located at the exit of the National Park. We had a very bad experience; the man who runs it was extremely unpleasant and rude. We asked him to help us call a taxi back to Cahuita; it was Sunday, and the public bus ran every two hours. In order for him to call a taxi, he demanded we eat or consume his products, which were quite expensive. We didn't feel like eating, and he refused to make the call; he was very rude.
Luckily, the Cahuita National Park employee helped us."

Irene Naverán.R

"Beautiful beach, full of flora and fauna. An excellent place for hiking, with an incredible 2.1-km Universal Bridge, where you can experience nature. I recommend hiking the bridge in silence, preferably alone; it's a relaxing experience."
