What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about the stunning natural beauty of Punta Uva Viewpoint, particularly the breathtaking ocean vistas and the unique natural tunnel. The clear waters are a hit for snorkeling, and the chance to spot wildlife like sloths adds to the charm. Some caution that the trails can be slippery and require appropriate footwear.
"Well worth the walk. Doesn’t take long, perhaps 15 minutes from the beach. Please wear water shoes, runners or other appropriate footwear. Flip flops aren’t going to cut it.
The first part of the walk there is a rope to help you get up because it can be slippery. Then follow the main track, taking the left path when it forks. Follow down to the point that has made a natural tunnel underneath.
To get down to the instagram favourite spot for people, be very careful. It was soooo slippery and you could easily injure yourself.
Once near the cave / tunnel, again, the rocks are still slippery even in the water. The mud on your shoes makes it worse so take the time to clean them in the water before venturing out to snap that selfie.
It’s not very deep when you wade in but there are two currents - one from each side that could easily knock you off balance.
To exit, we didn’t take the same path in, instead heading across the rocks for about 10m then climbing up.
There are two gravesites here as well. Hmmmm.
Take the chance to use other tracks to explore. You have beautiful vistas over another beach and the trees are magnificent. Keep your eyes out for toucans and sloths."

"great small hike, amazing trees on the hill and to the left side - very clear waters even with waves + rain, no currents at the time and PERFECT for snorkeling. Doesn't get deep and lots of fish! managed to have a chill swim during VERY dangerous waves in the other parts of the beach so check it out! 4 sloths in the trees next to it :) cool birds in the ponds and mini lagoon behind"

"Is one of my favorite beaches in the world. Not overly developed or touristy or overly crowded. Has reminded essentially the same for the last 30 years"
