"Hidden gem of wildlife viewing. We've driven by the Baru Refuge so many times; however it's size is deceiving. The refuge is over 800 acres! Skip Manual Antonio and come to Baru to see all the animals, birds, amphibians, reptiles and insects. I highly recommend booking a tour with Johan at The Birdways to get the full wildlife viewing experience. Baru has all the same wildlife as Corcovado with the exception of the Tapir. Save yourself a very long boat trip and come to Baru!"
