"Not accessible by car. It is a 2 km hike to the lake. The area is part of the Arenal national park, you can use the ticket if you've already bought one, or buy one at the start of the trail. I didn't enter because I didn't have the national park ticket and felt like only this1 trail was not worth the $ 15 entrance fee."
