What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors find the Tarcoles Crocodile Bridge a worthwhile, quick stop to witness impressive American crocodiles in their natural habitat. While the sheer number of reptiles is a highlight, some note they aren't as plentiful as expected. The surrounding souvenir stalls offer a typical tourist experience, but caution is advised regarding parking and the authenticity of goods.
"Well worth a quick stop! From the bridge we spotted five crocodiles, which isn’t bad considering we visited in the middle of the wet season. We parked just after the bridge in front of the shops and simply ignored the old man asking for a tip to “watch” the car."

"Great place to see crocs. They aren’t as plentiful as people made them out to be but still saw 4.
Biggest thing I was surprised at was the number of cows across from the crocodiles that were chilling on the island.
We tipped a guy who helped us “park” so that we didn’t have issues with our car. He would have accepted anything but we “tipped” $3. If you park more towards the restaurant there are police there that will watch your cars.
Don’t buy their “croc teeth”. They are all fake."
Eric Olsen
"Crocodile Bridge is definitely a popular tourist stop. There are shops, souvenirs, and ice cream stands right across the street, but honestly, you don’t need to spend any money to enjoy the quick stop. We pulled over to see the crocodiles from the bridge — spotted one pretty quickly and that was good enough for us. Cool for a short visit, but wouldn’t recommend making this a big part of your plans or spending money at the shops unless you really want to."
