I finished off my weekly workouts by running nearly 39 minutes (covering 3.34 miles) with @tommy_rivs through the Life Monteverde Coffee Farm in Costa Rica. The last photo shows the ground I covered on the treadmill this week. Reviews Summary

Visitors consistently praise Life Monteverde Farm for its authentic, family-run atmosphere and engaging activities. The hands-on experiences, from milking cows to making fresh cheese and tortillas, are highlights, complemented by the warm hospitality and beautiful farm setting. It's a highly recommended stop for an immersive taste of Costa Rican rural life.

"We had the perfect experience on our tour with Orlando at his family's farm. We loved hearing about the farm's history and also their approach to the future. The cows were gorgeous, and we got to spend time feeding the calves then milking Martina (with some help from Roberto the cat!). Then we made traditional cheese and tortillas which we enjoyed with hot drinks whilst taking in the beautiful view.

Highly recommended, just a fabulous way to spend a few hours"

"We had an unforgettable time at Finca Paraíso! We joined both the farm & cheese tour and the empanada tour, and can’t recommend them highly enough.

The farm tour was inspiring — it’s a family-run project spanning three generations, and you can really feel the care and dedication that goes into every detail. Walking through the land, hearing the family’s story, and then tasting the fresh, handmade cheese was a highlight of our trip.

The empanada tour was just as wonderful. We didn’t prepare the fillings ourselves, but got to shape and cook the empanadas (family recipe) before enjoying them fresh and warm!

The whole experience is authentic and welcoming. The family is passionate, attentive, and make you feel like part of their farm. The setting itself is peaceful and beautiful, the perfect place to slow down and really connect with Costa Rica’s traditions.

Finca Paraíso is a gem - ecological farming, genuine hospitality, and incredible food all in one place. Whether you’re a foodie, nature lover, or just looking for something truly authentic, this is an absolute must-do."

"We had an absolutely amazing tour! Orlando did a fantastic job of showing us around the entire farm, and explaining everything and the history of the farm and his family. We got to feed the animals and milk one of their cows, and both of Orlando's parents were incredibly welcoming and friendly. We even got to make fresh tortillas and cheese with their family! I would wholeheartedly recommend it for anyone curious!"
