Help getting around Sobra, Mljet Island
Can anyone recommend how I can get sound Mljet island from Sobra? I’m getting the ferry into Sobra and staying in the town and I know I can’t hire a bike around there from any offical store. Are the buses reliable to get around the island and can I pay by cash for the buses?
Mljet Island
I am visiting DBV in September (around the 22nd) and I am hoping to take a trip over to Mljet island, it looks beautiful! It is hard to find info on ferry schedules, buses on the island, accomodations on the island, etc. Does anyone have any tips? I am hoping to stay for 1or2…

Mljet Croatia or properly explore Dubrovnik?
Trying decide between a) 1.5 days Dubrovnik, 1 day mljet, 2 days hvar and 2 days split; or b) 2.5 days Dubrovnik, 2 days hvar, 2 days split. Mljet looks incredible, but is limiting time in Dubrovnik to see mljet something would regret?

The multi-day ticket offers excellent value, and activities like swimming, kayaking, and exploring the monastery are highly praised. Some find bike rentals expensive, and transport on the island can be challenging.
"We enjoyed kayaking, swimming and walking around the park. You can spend whole day in the park. Swimming gears, sunscreen and gallons of water are necessary in summer days."
Ryosuke KITAOKA
"Beautiful sea lakes surrounded by well maintained, organised trails. Fantastic scenery too. Bike hire too expensive so we walked around both lakes. 3k + 8k. Plenty of opportunities to swim in the crystal clear water. A great day out! Tickets cost €25 per adult but are valid for multiple days, so if you're staying on the island a few nights, you can go back in each day. Tickets also valid for 1 return crossing on the boat to The monastery on the little island where there's also a nice restaurant and open air terrace for a cold beer! All good 👍"
Mark Ford
"Stunning. Very few visitors when we were there in July. Parking close to the lake, short walk to the ferry to the monastery. Easy walking as it is very flat, plenty of places to stop for a swim, good for Basic snorkeling, lots of fish, some coral. I wouldn't recommend the small lake, the water is not as clear as the main lake. Definitely worth the ticket price, 25eu adult, 8eu child, for the day but you can also go back with the same ticket."
