Hi guys, I'll be staying in omis for a couple of days and could use a few pointers on what not to miss here, I'm specially interested in local food. Also is it worth it as a tourist to rent a scooter? I've seen some around. Thank you in advance :)

The city is absolutely beautiful and definitely worth a visit! The architecture, atmosphere, and surroundings make it a memorable destination.
However, I can’t help but mention a few drawbacks that might affect your experience:
• Parking can be quite a challenge. Even in paid parking areas, finding a spot is difficult due to how crowded it gets.
• ATM fees are surprisingly high – ranging from €4.5 to €9 per withdrawal, regardless of the amount. This makes it necessary to have cash on hand.
• Card payments are often not accepted. Many local vendors, including those at tourist attractions like the fortress, only take cash.
In short, it’s a charming place, but be prepared: bring enough cash and patience when looking for parking."
