2 days in Zadar - What to do?

As the title says. We are very tight on a budget, but any decently cheap restaurant recommendations, and what are the beaches like there? I think I understand they’re pebbled but I don’t know much else. Any particular beach recommendations?

🌲 Shady Retreat

Plenty of shade under the pine trees for a relaxing day.

🏐 Beach Volleyball Fun

There's a sand volleyball court available for games.

Reviews Summary

Punta Bajlo Forest Park is appreciated for its beautiful pine forest offering ample shade and a pleasant scent, alongside stunning sunset views over the Adriatic. Visitors enjoy the varied swimming options, from sandy shores to rocky platforms, and the convenience of amenities like restrooms and a playground. However, some find the proximity to the port disruptive due to ship noise, and the water clarity isn't ideal for snorkeling.

"Punta Bajlo is a beach area that offers both sandy and rocky access to the sea. It’s surrounded by a pine forest and includes a small outdoor fitness area and a sand volleyball court. There’s also a nearby fast-food restaurant and a parking area.

Although it's close to our accommodation, we didn’t particularly enjoy the beach. The layout and maintenance leave room for improvement, and the constant noise from ships heading to the nearby port disrupted the peaceful vibe. One interesting detail, though, was spotting several lizards around the rocks and forested area — a small highlight of the visit."

Horia Sandru

"A beautiful little park across from the port with stunning sunset views.
It has a sand volleyball court, a bar nearby, and, of course, a beach and/or swimming areas.
You can stroll through it and continue for a nice walk around Zadar, admiring the sea."

Fran Marman

"A pleasant park. Playground, benches, restrooms, and changing rooms. Plenty of shade, and the trees smell wonderful. You can lie on the rocks and swim. The peninsula is well-maintained and safe. We spent the evening and sunset there."
