From the top deck you can see the red-tiled rooftops of the Upper Town, the sprawl of the lower city, and the distant hills and mountains framing everything beautifully. The climb is steep and narrow (about three floors of stairs with a small museum of historical photos and cannon exhibits along the way), so it might not be ideal for anyone with serious mobility issues, but the payoff is absolutely worth it. When we visited it wasn’t busy at all—just the right crowd level to soak in the view without jostling—and we spent a good half hour up there taking it all in. Highly recommend as an affordable, unforgettable stop in Zagreb—don’t skip it!"
