What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise Trooditissa Monastery for its profound peace, serene atmosphere, and the stunning beauty of its church interior. Many appreciate its escape from commercialization, offering a genuine spiritual experience. Some note the limited English offerings in the bookstore and the modern appearance of some monastery buildings.
"This is a beautiful, peaceful, worshipful monastery. The atmosphere is quiet. The location is a little remote, so it's not a place with heavy traffic. The bookstore is wonderful (although few to no English language offerings). The Church is absolutely stunning inside. If you're looking for a quiet place to reflect and pray, this is a good choice. I only saw one monk - the one tending the bookstore, who was very hospitable and friendly with the members of our small group."

"Feeling so peaceful here every time I visit the monastery. Situated in Troodos this is a monastery with monks. It has escaped so far the commercialisation of the Kykkos monastery so I consider it a good and peaceful place to visit."

"What can you expect in a monestary? Its a church and a store here. And you can get a tour around the premises. Thats what we did, but its probably more to do here😃
The church is small but very richly decorated. The rest of the monastery is in a typical 1960-es look, which may be bevause the buildings are from 1960-1970. Nice gardens and a nice view and a tranquil vibe. The entrance is free."
