Visitors praise the Church of St. John of Nepomuk for its serene atmosphere and beautiful, restrained architecture. It's seen as a peaceful landmark within the city, with many appreciating its historical connection to the Redemptorist Order and its current role as a spiritual center. "A quiet place. At the same time, the church itself "cuts" the surrounding buildings. Inside it has a classic look, I would say restrained.

You can support the church itself by donating money, there is a QR-code for this."

"The church is connected with the history of the Redemptorist Order, which came to the city in 1907. Two years later, an association was established for the construction of the church and in 1910 its construction began. The following year it was consecrated. The church was built in the pseudo-Romanesque style according to the plans of architects Jan Svoboda and František Stalmacher. The three-nave building is 50 m long and has two 63-meter towers. The original bells Jan, Alfons, Marie and Josef were requisitioned for war purposes. Today's ones were created in 1929 in the workshop of Rudolf Perner. The main altar of St. John of Nepomuk, the side altars of Our Lady of Perpetual Help and St. Joseph were made according to the designs of Prof. Jan Kastner by František Kadeřábek from Prague. A monastery was built next to the church in 1935-1936, today the building is used by the Police of the Czech Republic.
