What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about the magical, fairy-tale atmosphere of Cesky Krumlov and the engaging, interactive experiences at the Monasteries, especially for families. While the historical frescoes and workshops are highly praised, some note that texts are primarily in Czech and express concern over the welfare of bears at the castle.
"We had a wonderful experience and atmosphere in the old town of Krumlov. There is a lot to see and to do. Also nice restaurants, coffee shops, hotels and shops for shopping. We stayed in the Bellevue Spa hotel, in the old town area. Very central but not really a Spa hotel if you must book and pay extra for the Spa / sauna's use, I think😉 This town gives a feeling of Tuscany with all the red roofs. Also a bit like a small Prague...well to me at least. A must to visit."

"Daughter and I visited only the second exposition and were amazed. Really good interactive presentation of a renesaince clothing and a work in a monastery, where you can create your own souvenirs. Unfortunatelly texts are almost all in Czech (which I luckily understand some), but it didn’t bother my daughter 😄"

"Top choice for families with kids- interactive area is wonderful, hours of dress up, print making , “potions”, quill writing, and play. Friendly staff working and truly an excellent family experience."
