Reviews Summary

Visitors rave about the National Memorial on Vítkov Hill for its absolutely stunning, free panoramic views of Prague. Many appreciate it as a less crowded and more authentic alternative to other viewpoints. While some find the historical exhibits informative, the primary draw remains the breathtaking cityscape and the pleasant park surroundings.

"Talk about a hidden gem of Prague! Even though you can clearly see it on a hill, for some reason everyone goes just to the city center, this place was almost empty as we visited. And it is definitely worth a visit, absolutely stunning 360 degree view is truly something else. The building itself is a monument and sort of museum built of stone and marble. There is also a cafe with equally stunning views, but it could've been nicer on the inside.
Oh, and the best part? It's totally free to visit, including the rooftop platform."

Josip Rosandić

"This remarkable monument is quite impressive.

An elevator provides access to the building's summit, where one can enjoy a panoramic view encompassing nearly all of Prague.

Reaching this location necessitates a climb up the hill, an endeavor that is undoubtedly worthwhile. The second floor features lovely rooms and a charming café, which is among the highest in Prague. There, one can find coffee, cakes, beer, and other refreshing beverages. Please note that they only accept cash, but the prices are quite reasonable.

Even if the monument is closed, the magnificent statue and the views from the platform remain exceptional.

However, I highly suggest visiting when you can experience the roof and the café."

"Stunning find we happened upon by accident. It has some interesting historical context and offers a wonderful view of the whole of Prague and I think makes a great ending to the trip looking out at all the landmarks you saw in person off in the distance."
