What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise the National Theatre Prague for its stunning architecture and the high quality of its opera and ballet performances. The historical significance and grandeur of the venue are frequently highlighted as major draws. However, some find the ticket prices for prime seats to be quite high, and navigating the various venues can occasionally be confusing for first-time visitors.
"The modern ballet was OK. Even good at times. But really I just want to say what a beautiful venue this is.
The decor is classy, atmospheric, and historic. Every surface is gorgeous.
Also, the seating was really great. We were 15th row center (only 16 rows total), but the view was still perfect. It's a really intimate space.
Whatever the show, I highly recommend an evening in this beautiful venue."

"Absolutely stunning! Really worth watching a performance here. Very classic and gorgeous interiors and excellent performers. We watched a ballet, Scheherazade. After the ballet we dined at the Cafe Louvre which is another Czech landmark and one of the oldest cafes. It’s only about a 3 minute walk from the theatre. Very affordable, filled with friendly staff and overall it’s a great time."

"What an Experience! We got the cheap standing tickets for less than 8€ and got ourselves a beer for another few euros.
The ballet piece we saw, Sarkasm was a lovely contemporary ballet piece from three different choreographers with clever critiques of societes‘ conformist pressures.
Such a beautiful venue and the terrace on the first floor is absolutely breathtaking during sunset!
10/10"
