What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise the Nové Lázně Roman Baths for their absolutely stunning and unique architecture, offering a majestic and relaxing spa experience. However, some find the entry price to be quite high for the duration and facilities offered, and note that additional services come at an extra cost.
"The architecture and artwork inside the bath is lovely but I don't think it's worth the price. I did enjoy the steam bath and sauna quite a bit but there was no hot tub to soak my tired legs. If you are a bigger group than 2, it's harder to find chairs where you can all sit together. Also, bring your own shampoo and toiletries if you want to wash your hair after as there is only soap to use. I'm glad I did it to say I've done it, but I won't go again."

"Had family call and reserve a time to try the pools and Sauna. Price has increased to 800 CZK for 3 hours. Once I found the spa receptionist and paid I was brought to the spa and provided a towel and sheet, and a locker key. They ask you to bring a bathing suit and sandals. Enjoyed doing a rotation between the pools and saunas, with a cold shower in between. There is a second pool area that has a whirlpool and infra red lights. I thought I was able to use the bubble bath service but was told it was not included. Stayed for the full 3 hours, going through the rotation 3 times. A nice relaxing experience in a majestic environment. If you like doing your own thing at your own pace I would recommend this."

"We had a great time here enjoying the unique architecture of the old Roman baths! 32 degrees so a perfect temperature to just bathe. Pricey (600 czk per person for non-hotel guests, for 3hrs) but we came here for the experience so were happy to pay. The Roman Bath area is a little smaller than it seems in photos but still cool. There’s sauna, steam room, a swimming pool, and “whirlpool” (spa pool) and massages etc for extra $$. Happily spent 2hrs here.
I see in below comment that it’s only open to non-hotel guests in the morning. We arrived at 11:30am but no one mentioned it. So not sure if that rule still applies.
FYI The New Baths (also called Roman Baths) are part of the Ensana Nove Lazne hotel. As English speakers we found it a bit tricky to find information or opening hours. Well worth the day trip!
25min walk down the road (and near the train station) was a great coffee spot“Coffee Ivo”."

For Different Travelers
Tailored advice for your travel style
👨👩👧 Families with Kids
Consider the duration of your visit to match your children's attention spans. While there's a whirlpool, there isn't a dedicated 'hot tub' for soaking tired legs, which might be a consideration for some families. Bringing swimsuits and sandals is essential, and packing kid-friendly toiletries is also recommended.
💰 Budget Travelers
Consider visiting during off-peak hours or weekdays to potentially experience fewer crowds and a more relaxed atmosphere. Bringing your own shampoo and toiletries can save a small amount, and packing your own snacks and water (if permitted outside the main spa area) can also help manage costs.
