Reviews Summary

Ostrava Main Railway Station is a modern and functional transport hub with good amenities like Minit pastries and clear signage. However, visitors frequently mention an unpleasant odor and unreliable escalators, which can detract from the experience. Despite these issues, it serves well as a connection point for trains, trams, and buses.

"This train station was unexpected. It’s new so don’t expect the grand halls and frescos of other Czech train stations, but the amenities will distract you from missing the old.

It’s a small station, but beautiful with lots of natural light. There’s plenty of seating, shops, and restrooms. For good breakfast pastries, go to Minit. They sell small pastries filled with chocolate, raspberries, ham and cheese, and even bleu cheese.

Signage is clear and the train times and platforms easy to find."

Sequential One

"An unpleasant station to use. For some reason, the station stinks horribly. Also there is no air conditioning, if they added that, the passenger experience would improve dramatically. Negatives aside, the train service is quite good and the station is an amazing transportation hub."
