The museum is lauded as a gem for its comprehensive look at Czech puppetry history and its ability to evoke a sense of childhood wonder. While most reviews are overwhelmingly positive, some visitors might wish for more extensive historical context beyond the interactive elements.
"I visited the place to learn something new about history of puppet art. The place is full of text and audio guides at the stages. So if you are interested in the topic and want to go through everything, expect to spend few the hours at the place.
The last floor is whole dedicated for playing with the puppets. Because of that, I would say that the place will be most interesting for families with children, or with someone with good imagination to come up with some scene idea and play it with someone else.
The guy that was guiding the top floor showed me and my friend how to hold and work with different types of puppets, even some that I had never seen before. Great new experience for me!"
