What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Rožemberk Castle is praised for its impressive architecture and historical interiors, offering a glimpse into the powerful Rožemberk family's legacy. However, the primary language barrier for tours, with information only available via booklets, and a perceived rushed tour pace are common drawbacks noted by visitors.
"No English language tours, they have booklets with basic explanations in English. You can't go through the castle without a tour. Tour is rushed (45 minutes), and doesn't really give time to appreciate some of the amazing art.
View is nice, but there are nice views all over the area.
Eschew. Plenty of other castles to see in the area."

"I will not talk about the beauty of the uphill view. It speaks for itself.
There are regular tours taking place, but only in Czech. So, I understood nothing. It costs like 8€ cca, and it lasts for approximately 45 minutes. You get a file with the texts in the desired language, and that gives you an idea about what it is spoken about. The language barrier is not tragic at all. The tour is worth it anyway. Coffee and some drinks or ice cream are available from the shop."

"The castle is very impressive inside and outside. There are tours every 30 minutes, mostly in Czech but you can get information book in your own language. The young lady who held the tour was super kind and spoke good English, so we could ask questions. You can also pay with card."
