What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Aalborghus Castle is appreciated for its beautiful historic architecture and the lovely surrounding park, offering a pleasant atmosphere for a stroll. While the exterior and grounds are a hit, some visitors find the interior experience limited, with unclear access to certain areas like the prison. More on-site information would enhance the visit for many.
"Aalborghus Slot is a really beautiful historic building with a great atmosphere. Walked around the outside, and the half-timbered architecture and surrounding greenery make it a nice place for a stroll. However, it was a bit unclear if we could actually go inside or what there was to see—some signs or more info would’ve been helpful. Still, definitely worth a visit if you’re in Aalborg!"

"Not really a castle castle, is a residence ATM that obvs you can't get into.
Some tunnels and a room with some signs, that's about it"
Jorge Suarez-Casana
"It is a really beautiful old castle. Unfortunately, the castle was closed on Sunday morning, and I was not able to see it inside. However, this place is very beautiful, even in winter time, and if you have the opportunity, visit it. It's worth it."
