"A must visit if if you want to know more about the Jews that escaped the WWII disasters and fled to settle in the Dominican Republic. But it was very difficult to enter because the old lady that manages the museum was not there, even though there was a sign that said when it's open there was no one, just a very unhelpful reluctant kid at the gate. We wait for 3 hours or so waiting for the old lady get there and open the museum."

Jesus Fermin

"This museum tells the history of WWII Jewish refugees fleeing the Nazis. It is an incredible story and for this reason it is worth visiting the museum. It is small and not well-maintained. There is very little explanatory signage and the presentation of photos and information is very, very dated. There will likely not be someone there to help you better understand the history.

There is a synagogue right next to the museum. It does hold services but not regularly. You will probably need to ask to have the synagogue unlocked to see it."

"Too bad it was closed. Would have liked to visit. ✡️"
