Reviews Summary

Agua Blanca is praised for its unique blend of indigenous culture, archeological insights, and natural attractions like the sulfur lagoon and forest trails. Visitors appreciate the community-driven tourism model and the value offered by the entrance fee. Some find the lagoon's smell off-putting, and while the museum is informative, more detail would be welcomed by some.

"This is a beautiful indigenous community with a nice little museum and small-scale archeological site, but the highlight for my visit was the paths that lead around the property for viewing nature and birdwatching. There are a lot of birds that live in the dry tropical forest here. The paths are well maintained and there's also a quaint natural pool for soaking where massages with local oils are offered. There's also an observation tower that overlooks the property. It was a beautiful place for a relaxing morning visit during our trip."

Todd Durrant

"Very cool community that survives on tourists. Great museum with archeological items. The lagoon was a bit stinky from sulfur and the showers were cold but cool experience."

Randy Beckman

"Nice place with a lagoon for a swim and face mask. The entry is 5$ and incl. the museum and a guided tour to the lagoon and a face mask. There are tiny restaurants at the entrance/exit of the lagoon and they offer fresh coconut water, ice cream, empanadas and other local food for a small amount. Spanish advantageous."
