Reviews Summary

Visitors praise the stunning laguna views and the rewarding loop trail, offering diverse perspectives of the natural landscape. However, some have experienced challenges with trail navigation, unexpected darkness, and slippery conditions, emphasizing the need for early starts and proper gear. The local museum is a nice addition for those interested in regional history.

"The view of the laguna was great. But at the beginning they told use the trail was a circle and that it is 8.5km hike. However, when we reached the 8.5 marker there was no exit. So we continued pass the 9km marker until we saw the sign "no visitors beyond this point". By this time it was dark and cold. We turned back because we had heard cars passing when we were at the 8.5km marker. We had to walk through private property and climb a fence to get to the main road. No one didn't know that we were still up in the mountains or came looking . We started the trail at 1pm. I recommend that you do not do the trail alone because it is not safe (someone was watching us, whistling and laughing when it started getting dark and refused to answer when we called out) start early in the morning, bring a rain coat, wear warm clothes and boots. The path is very slippery and narrow. There are gaps in the trail due to soil erosion. A flashlight may come in handy."

"A pleasant hike.

Please try to come as early as possible to avoid the hot sun and to give you extra time for breaks and photos.

Don’t hike past 1 pm you’ll get caught coming back at sunset which will make you feel a bit unsafe.

I went hiking in the middle of November and the sun was brutal I don’t do well in the sun so dress in short sleeves, shorts, hat, sunglasses & lots of sunscreen."

"Great place! The Loop is very easy to find and it's easy to medium level, when we went it was raining a little bit, so the road went a little bit slippery. I highly recommend going there with Mountain boots and rain jacket. Definitely worth it."
