"Turned up. The old lady was talking to a friend on the steps. No acknowledgement. Asked if the museum was open. She told us to go inside. Just room with benches.
After 2 minutes I went outside to ask if we should just go in and she said "no, stop being impatient" came in and unlocked an office and said it's $3.50 each, so $7 for both of us to take the tour. Gave her $10 and she said she had no change. After a long long while of discussing this she went out to ask her friend for change and came back with 2x $5 bills. Not much help at all.
She then grumpily took us on the tour and was simply going through the motions explaining each bit, no eye contact or direct communication - all in Spanish, which is fine but only one of us speaks it. When the tour finally ended. I asked where the Bosch painting was. That's locked away and she doesn't have the key. Apparently thieves broke in so some of the building is locked off.
Back to the money. Pretty sure she was lying about not having change as this is a cash business, but I didn't like her attitude, had she been nice I would have let her keep the extra $3... so anyway I took a $5 and got change from a local shop to make up the $7.
Wish she'd said that part of the tour wasn't available to see before we started. Could have saved an hour.
