Hiking Fees
My wife and I will be visiting the Faroes in July to hike, and I know there are varying fees to hike on private land. However, I just saw a video on YouTube showing a turnstile with a card reader for hiking payment… are these common, or should I plan to bring cash for pay…

What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise Cape Enniberg for its absolutely breathtaking, unparalleled views from Europe's northernmost point. The challenging hike is considered well worth the effort, offering a profound connection with nature and wildlife. However, the steepness and potential for difficult conditions require careful preparation.
"Breathtaking place like almost everywhere on Faroe Islands. It took me less than 2,5 hours to get here. First half is quite steep but well marked. Then, below the summit turn left and carry on the unmarked path. It's not difficult because it's almost flat and you have to follow pillars made of stones. It can be challenging during the snow or fog. Once you are at the Cape, you will be rewarded with amazing views from huge cliff. There was nothing just me, sea and birds. Lifetime experience.
Hike starts in village where is parking for 3 cars. It costs 200DKK to enter the hike, you can leave money in box (only cash)."

"Great hike, even if you don’t do the whole thing. We only hiked about an hour up (to about 350m of elevation)and found excellent views!! There is an honor box for the hiking fees of 200dkk per person."

"Difficult climb but so beautiful and so worth it. The views!! It's an honor system with a suggested 200kr donation. It's pretty much straight uphill, about 850m, and then straight downhill. Even when there's mist or fog it inevitably clears if you wait a few minutes. Every few meters was a different view. If you're a weekend warrior like me, your thighs and your toes will hurt for days."
