Reviews Summary

Villingardalsfjall offers breathtaking, albeit challenging, hikes with incredible views. While the trail can be steep and slippery, especially in wet weather, the effort is widely considered worth it. Visitors appreciate the dramatic scenery and the opportunity to contribute to the local economy through a requested fee.

"While possibly not as maintained as other, free, trails in the Faroese islands; it’s still a beautiful hike nonetheless. If you can afford to fly or take a ferry here just pay the fee of good will to hike and contribute to the local economy. It won’t kill you.

I’d recommend parking at the school like a few of the signs suggest, it’s about a 5 minute walk to the hike entrance if so and you are pretty guaranteed a spot - then again I went on a Sunday. But in late August it seems like not many people take the effort to drive up here. Their loss!"

Freeman

"The views are incredible, but the first section of the trail to the peak is not well maintained in my opinion. We visited during good weather — still, the trail involves a lot of scrambling and there are multiple parts heading down where you can easily slip and fall. Just a word of caution :)"

Samantha Tatro

"I actually this hike. The views amazing.
The top of this hike can be dangerous if the weather is wet"
