What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors generally enjoy the scenic beauty and challenging layout of the Denarau Golf & Racquet Club, appreciating the ocean views and tropical setting. However, some find the course conditions, particularly bunkers and rough, to be less than ideal, and dining experiences can be mixed. Despite some drawbacks, many find it a worthwhile experience for a round of golf in Fiji.
"Played 18 holes here beginning of May 2025. Walked to the course from the cruise ship tender port, approx. 15 min easy walk. Paid ~US$100 at senior rate, including club rental and cart (see attached pic of rates sheet, bottom rates are club rental) using my US visa card. Clubs available were combinations of Ping G425 & G430, stiff & regular flex. The electric cart came with an ice box with ice (I brought my own water) and was in good condition.
Tee box locations can be a bit confusing, and crossing a couple public roads is required, but not too bad if using common sense. Course fairways were dry and hard, with long run off. Rough is really thick and balls disappear easily, even when not that far offline. Greens were a mixture of slow and fast. Bunkers are in a bad state, with no maintenance and not a single rake noted. Bring spare balls as there is lots of water and thick rough (although you can buy some 2nd hand ones on course from some locals).
Started at 14h00, finished at 17h30 (no stopping for halfway break) and was getting dark, so play fast if you start late.
Staff were friendly although not overly helpful even though there were a lot of them standing around. Tried to go to the men's restroom and there were two female cleaners inside having a good conversation, which was slightly off-putting when trying to do your business.
Overall, I had a good time and would play there again."

"We throughly enjoyed our 18 holes of golf. There is plenty of water on this course which makes it quite challenging. It is soo picturesque with fairway lined by coconut palm trees. Motorised buggy was great as it is a long course. Highly recommend having a round at this beautiful course. I paid $255 FJD for 18 holes and hired clubs."

"Really nice challenging courses with plenty of water, trees and bunkers. Quite pricey but i enjoyed it. Quality Ping club hire. Greens were a bit patchy but still ran true. Nice clubhouse for a drink"
