The Archipelago
Hello! A visitor here. I'll spend three days in Turku in early September and I was wondering whether you could give me some useful tips on shortish (ideally half-day) ways to see some of the islands. I have looked on the wider web but mostly it's stock images and imprecise info.…

What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise the Archipelago Sea National Park for its stunning natural beauty, especially for sailing and exploring its numerous islands via the convenient and free ferry system. While some find true wilderness access challenging due to private properties, the well-maintained travel islands and natural harbors offer ample opportunities for enjoyment, particularly for families and water enthusiasts.
"The National park covering the nearly whole Archipelago means that there is plenty for the whole Family to be occupied with.
Most of the ferries between the islands are on Finnferries and are totally free for vehicles and passengers
I would really recommend staying at least a few days even in the winter if cottage is suitable for winter use some are only supposed for summer use"

"While the nature is undoubtedly beautiful, it is often hard to access without having an expensive place of accomodation because wherever you try to go off the main road you bump into private properties. As our expectation was to experience seaside wilderness hiking and camping, it was very disappointing - basically no such infrastructure that you'd expect to find in national parks. Restaurants and harbours all around. Idk maybe it's different in the second half of the route, or if you take ferries to the most distant islands, but we lost hope and turned back from Korpo. Having said that, I do recommend Solliden camping in Pargas, seeing the quarry and local history museum, and most of all - a short hike around Susivuori watchtower."
