Replying to @A Florida Gal Abroad just sharing 5 tips from my recent visit based on my experience/observation: 1) Tickets: I chose the Passport option on the website, but it ended up being a pain when I re-entered the garden. Be mindful of what you’re purchasing 2) Time: things took A LOT longer than expected! I was there from 11AM to 7PM and still didn’t get to see everything 3) Shoes: self expl...

Reviews Summary

Visitors consistently praise Château de Queribus for its dramatic setting and well-preserved medieval architecture, offering a tangible connection to Cathar history. The panoramic views from the tower are a major highlight, making the challenging climb worthwhile for most. Some note the steep paths and steps require good footwear and caution, especially in wet weather.

"Combined a visit to Quéribus with Peyrepertuse later that day, and I am glad we did. Quéribus is smaller, but more intense. We had a bit of wind (not even that much) but the effects this wind created in the castle was just incredible. Best "Cathar" castle I have visited so far (and I did quite a few). It is a (short) climb to get there but it is surely worth it."

Gert Gullentops

"Fantastic chateau. Might be my favourite out of the many between foic and Perpignan"

Jamie Hay

"4 stars for how it looked walking up to it. Looked like a medieval fantasy. Didnt go in, in case it ruined the illusion😏. The 2 km walk down to Cucugnan was a strain."
