Day 9 was 27 kilometers from Wissant to Guînes, away from the coast and finally inland. The highlight was by far the insane pheasants in the Forest of Guînes. They swarmed around me like little velociraptors. I couldn't decide if they were cute or if they wanted to eat me. I heard different theories from the locals about people feeding them.
