"This old castle is free to enter and about a 20-30 minute hike from the centre of the old town. The castle itself can be a little difficult to climb, so I recommend good shoes and at least average levels of fitness.
It provides some great views of the surrounding countryside and parts of Hyere. Overall expect a few hours to get to, around, and back from the old castle (assuming you walk). An enjoyable day out."

"The view over Hyeres doesn't get better than from up there and also the walk up. However, a lot of the paths to the ruin and inside the ruin are not taken care of at all. Not well suited for people with trouble walking.
There is no entry fee or anyone guarding the place; in this regard it is surprisingly clean and without any graffiti"
