What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors appreciate Chapelle Saint-Clair for its charming exterior and historical significance, especially the recreated bust. While many note that the chapel is closed to the public, the hourly chimes and the annual Feast of the Romérage in September offer unique points of interest. It's seen as a peaceful, albeit limited, experience.
"Built in 1668 and housing a bust of the patron saint of seamstresses, it was nationalized in 1789 and then sold to individuals who left it to fall into ruin. A villa was built in its place. In 1996 it was rebuilt nearby. Since then, every year in September, a procession called the Feast of the Romérage takes place, which means journey to Rome. A very beautiful chapel, well located, which can only be visited from the outside (surely a shame), a copy of the bust of the patron saint has been remade."

"Beautiful little chapel located in Saint Clair, a commune in Le Lavandou.
I'm not from around here, and I don't know if it's still used for masses or if it's open to visitors.
Beautiful and ancient monument..."

"Nothing special to see as it is closed, however it rings every hour, approximately from 8am to 9pm."
