Reviews Summary

Visitors rave about the refreshing and beautiful experience of wading through the Gorges du Toulourenc, calling it a highlight of their holiday. The natural pools and scenic canyon walls are frequently praised. Some note the need for good water shoes and awareness of water depth, but overall, it's considered a highly enjoyable and accessible natural attraction. Reddit+1

"We really enjoyed our walk through Les Gorges du Toulourenc. We drove there from L’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, and the drive itself was already lovely, passing through quiet villages and scenic countryside. We went with our two young children (3 years and 9 months), both in carriers, and it was definitely manageable. You do need to watch your footing in some parts, especially over the stones and in the water, but it was all part of the experience.

We took it at a relaxed pace and had a very pleasant morning walk, with a picnic along the way. The surroundings are beautiful: clear water, peaceful nature, and a nice mix of shade and sun. A lovely outing overall and definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area."

"Hiking in the Gorges du Toulourenc is a cool and refreshing experience. We parked at the Parking payant (summer), and walked via the D40A to the bridge. From there we walked downstream to the old bridge (on the Chemin Notre dame des Anges). Definitely wear shoes with strong soles, that makes walking on the pebbles in the river easier. Some passages are about 1 meter deep (we did the walk in June), but often you can also choose to walk on the banks. Returning upstream is a bit more difficult, but because the walk is not that long, it is certainly not that bad."

Jo Dejonckheere

"Great place to cool off and go for an easy walk in the water. The car park is a few hundred metres before you get to the bridge or alternatively there is one a few hundred metres after the bridge with less space."
