Reviews Summary
Visitors generally find the Marché du Canal Couvert to be a colorful and extensive market, great for people-watching and shopping for fresh produce, meats, cheeses, and clothing. While many appreciate the variety and atmosphere, some caution about higher prices on certain items and the need to be aware of pickpockets.
"The Marché de Mulhouse is well worth a visit -- it's extensive and colorful and is a good place to people-watch as well as to shop for all kinds of fresh fruit and vegetables, meats and charcuterie, pastry, fish and seafood, cheeses, and, if you're in the market for rather cheap and flamboyantly colored material, clothes.
We spent a pleasant morning walking through the market, buying fruit and olives for a picnic tomorrow (we already have sausage, cheese, and bread), and were happy we made the rather long but pleasant walk from our hotel in the heart of the old city to Marché de Mulhouse."

"A nice visit for us, we are from- Cristina et Alain of 'Chartreuse La Grange Doman Gîte 1050m altitude facing Chamechaude' (Google us, merci ! )"

"If they are local producers I am chess champion. They just take from other persons and add their margin. Disadvantages: you cannot choose the products you want. I am talking about grapes etc. You pay higher prices than hypermarkets. For example: grapes Muscat 8 EUR at them vs. 5 EUR at big stores. Also, take care against pickpockets."
