What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about the breathtaking panoramic views from the summit and the impressive, varied hiking trails. The unique geological formations and the spiritual ambiance, including the legend of the Three Crosses and the hermit, add to the magical experience. Some note that trail signage can be inconsistent, and sturdy footwear is essential.
"Great experience to walk there. Impressive views, amazing walk.
I walked the sentier draille du facteur. Not everywhere good signalisation. So sometimes you need the search a bit. I was there all alone. Not see a single person."

"We hiked along the blue circle trail to the summit of the Rocher de Roquebrune, and it was truly breathtaking. The trails are well marked, and varied, so we didn't find them endless and tiring. Once we reached the summit, the 360° view of the Argens Valley, the Esterel Mountains, and even the Alps in the distance was simply magnificent.
We were surprised to learn that a hermit, a certain Laurent Seta (about fifty years old), now lives in one of the caves at the top of the rock. A disciple of Brother Antoine and a former spiritual traveler in India, he continues the tradition. It is stated in an online press article that he appreciates peace and quiet above all else and prefers not to be disturbed. It is really best to avoid disturbing him, and I recommend that all visitors respect his desire for peace and quiet.
We were also lucky enough to encounter a Hermann's tortoise, a protected species found here.
A few useful tips:
• Wear hiking shoes with good grip, as some stony sections can be a bit slippery...
• Bring plenty of water, snacks, and even mosquito repellent!
I highly recommend this magical place!"
