"We had a wonderful stay in this hotel recently. It started with the clear and friendly messages sent to inform us about how to approach the hotel and where to park our car, which was very convenient as the hotel is majestically located in the center of the city, which is a pedestrian area.
The entrance is impressive and the reception staff was kind, capable and very welcoming.
Our room was beautiful, spacious enough for 2 adults and 2 children and equipped with all we needed. The kingsize bed was extremely comfortable.
We also used the swimming pool which was great as well and had a drink in the bar, where they have a lovely cocktail menu. All in all a fantastic stay.
One point of improvement we encountered, was the location of the ashtray for smokers on the courtyard. It was positioned at the base of the stairs leading up to the reception, so unavoidable. In 2025, this is no longer acceptable, and the courtyard had enough space to facilitate a corner that will not force non-smokers to enter the hotel through the stink of cigarettes."

De Bourgtheroulde. Regretfully we only had one night so we weren’t able to take advantage of the spa facilities. Great location right in the old town and large comfortable room- bed was very comfortable and the best hotel pillows we’ve experienced in a while!
We were just off a transatlantic cruise and had some logistical issues including shipping some duffel bags, the front desk was super helpful printing labels, taping and they were gracious to hold them until they were picked up. We then had a rental car emergency- (Europcar -bad!) and Léopoldine, the concierge, patiently spent time to call all the local car rental agencies, we were finally able to locate a Rental Agency Sixt (see review) that found a car for us. We very much appreciated the extra support and friendly attitudes to help us navigate these logistics. Top notch service!"
