While the rustic dormitory accommodation and numerous stairs are noted, the overall experience is described as unique, friendly, and a memorable stopover, especially for pilgrims. Some reviews mention cleanliness issues in bathrooms and under beds, suggesting inconsistency.
"Hello
Too bad, Hélène didn't receive it.
Very average hygiene in the bathroom and toilet.
Lots of dust and cobwebs under the beds.
Too bad, it's well-maintained, it could be great.
I won't be going back."
Babeth Joanny
"cottage in an exceptional place, full of history! Don't be afraid of the stairs and above all don't forget your toothbrush on one floor!! Night in a dormitory, but the (bunk) beds are of good quality. Although rustic, it's clean, quiet. And the best part: it's Hélène's welcome! Thank you for her welcome and her friendliness. There is enough equipment to cook, and for a few cents, you can have breakfast. Good stopover."
Sophie Michelon
"A stopover not to be missed on the Way of St. James with this place steeped in history and Hélène, the soul of this place, who welcomed us in the spirit of pilgrimage, conviviality and sharing."
