What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Cap Esterel offers a beautiful setting with stunning sea views and a great water park, providing good value for families. However, some guests find the accommodation dated, the resort's hilly terrain challenging, and the service and dining experiences inconsistent. Concerns about cleanliness and strict rules have also been raised by some long-term visitors.
"Stayed in June 2025 with family.
We had an amazing stay, value for money is pretty good. The room was small, and slightly dated but we had booked a sea view & that didn’t disappoint. The setting is incredible, it’s a beautiful holiday park. Selection of restaurants is slightly limited and I wouldn’t say any of them are amazing, however they are fine. The Pool area is brilliant, staff attentive & no towel or flip flop reservation on sunbeds allowed. We have a 2 & 4 year old and I would say it’s not the most child friendly place, lots of steps & trip hazards just lots of carrying needed! Overall we had an amazing stay & would return again one day.
Local supermarket is well stocked & plenty of little bakery’s & ice cream shops. Not sure about entertainment, we stayed up most night to around 10pm with the kids but didn’t see any entertainment available, maybe we were too early in the season."

"Small but functional apartment. We had a great view on the sea, unfortunately during the day no shadow on the balcony.
Differet pools, one pool with waves every hour. Great water slide for the kids!"

"Updated review – from 2 stars down to 1 for service.
Today my family and I were treated with arrogance around the Le Hameau pool area. Instead of listening, the staff accused us of breaking the swimwear rules — an absolutely unacceptable and disrespectful way to treat long-time guests. Funny enough, as the lifeguard was more on her phone and reading books than looking after the pool.
After visiting Cap Esterel in Agay more than twenty times, I can honestly say: we will never return.
Over the years, this place has lost much of its charm. The wear and tear is visible, the service level has declined, and the rules have become increasingly strict. Even something as simple as enjoying a small snack or drink by the pool is now policed by lifeguards. What once felt fun and relaxing has become rigid and unwelcoming.
And maybe it’s just me, but sleeping on a sofa bed no longer feels like part of a holiday experience. Sadly, my heart no longer beats for Cap Esterel."
