What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
La Laiterie is a popular concert venue in Strasbourg known for its diverse musical programming and reasonably priced tickets. However, visitors frequently report issues with overcrowding, lack of air conditioning, and poor restroom hygiene, which can detract from the overall experience, especially for less intense musical genres.
"First of, this place got no AC whatsoever and it's always way to stuffed (to many tickets being sold for a show), I often had to go out, to get some air, otherwise would have fainted.
I like the placement of the Merchandise and the Bar, overall good accessible.
Another big downside is the hygiene of the toilets, don't even try using them (they dont even have toilet seats).
Big plus is the price for the Tickets and the Bands that actually go there.
I have seen a lot of awesome Bands for just the right amount of money!"

"An honest review: a terrible venue for the show we saw. We were shocked. Poorly and carelessly managed, and an ugly, overfilled interior. The band we travelled far to see, Kings of Convenience, make beautiful, soulful acoustic music and have a mature fan base. The fans are totally disrespected by the venue management. We waited nearly an hour outside to enter, then another 45 minutes inside standing, to enter the so-called theatre, then nearly another hour for the band to appear. I have been to hundreds of shows and this space was among the worst. Floors are filthy and sticky. Plywood platforms. Bar service was rude and impatient. A fire inspector tells everyone sitting to stand while hundreds of people pack in, standing only. Exit corridors were blocked by more hundreds. Venue is packed with about 900 people in space that should comfortably hold 400. Uncomfortable and claustrophobic. This might be ok space for headbanging teenagers who only care about screaming for their favorite metal band but terrible for this K of C show. The 2 man band was great and the only good thing I can say about the space is the speakers and sound system are pretty good (I'm in the sound business). Tickets were reasonably priced. But this lousy venue values quantity over quality - as a guest you're viewed by management as cattle and just a few more euros. Find better places to see the bands you love."

"When sold-out, the place is too crowded to really enjoy a concert. A lot of irritation was felt around us among visitors because people are standing too much “packed” to move or be able to see anything."
