What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise the spectacular vineyard views and the knowledgeable, entertaining guides, particularly Benji, who makes wine education engaging. The quality and uniqueness of the Côte-Rôtie wines are frequently highlighted, with many enjoying the small-production offerings. However, the extreme steepness of the terrain can be challenging for some, and driving access requires caution.
"It was 2025 Jun when we first set foot on the land of Rhône and Domaine de Corps de Loup was our 2nd stop for wine tasting.
We were lucky to have Benji as our guide who introduced us to one of the vineyard near by the cellar and explained their wines in details with fluent English. What a magnificent experience to the steep slopes under the burning sun where my shoes barely held myself up while I was walking uphill. The heart beating moments recalled me of drinking wine from Côte-Rôtie.
Benji hosted us a wine tasting session with total 3 whites and 5 reds. To be honest all are impressive with a small production (and shipping within France only). Personal favourites are Viognier, Saint-Joseph white with 50% Roussanne and 50% Marsanne, and the Côte-Rôtie “Empreinte”. It is very luxury for me to try different styles of Syrah and the differences are noticeable.
We recommend to visit in early morning because it can be quite busy near the afternoon."

"Fantastic wine tour by one of the owners of the lovely estate on the steep slopes of the Rhône. I was amazed to learn that these vineyards exist since Ancient Rome! Our guide was friendly and entertaining and he taught us a lot on winemaking in general. Kids loved it too."

"We had a lovely tour. Our guide was very friendly, funny, down to earth, and spoke English very well. The wine tasting was great, and the tour around the domain was interesting and not too long."
