What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise the breathtaking scenery and the rewarding nature of the hike to Chalaadi Glacier. The journey through forests and alongside the river, with majestic mountain backdrops, is a major highlight. While the final rocky section requires caution, the overall experience is deemed unforgettable and highly recommended for its raw, natural beauty. Some find the glacier itself less impressive than the trail, but the overall consensus is overwhelmingly positive.
"So beautiful !!
I would rate it easy to medium. The glacier may look like it was melted, but it is huge (covered in brown). Most of the hiking trail is to the north-east of the powerful stream. The colors around and the surrounding mountains worth every pace, highly recommended while in the area.
Be careful when crossing the bridge (there is an option to bypass it if you like), also careful from falling stones very close to the glacier. The last 1km is mainly on stones and rockes, so keep your legs safe."

"Easy hiking but totally worth it! Can be done with kids as I did but u must be careful!
I don't think the glacier is the best part, the trail and the surrounding is just amazing! U start crossing the bridge followed up by beautiful pine trees, walking next to wild river , surrounded by huge mountains!"

"The hike to Chalaadi Glacier is no walk in the park – it’s an adventure in itself. The path is scattered with rocks and boulders, and when it rains, like it did for us, it turns into a slippery challenge. If you go, don’t underestimate it – proper hiking boots make a huge difference.
That said, reaching the glacier is more than worth it. The rugged beauty of the landscape, the dramatic views, and the feeling of standing so close to such a powerful natural force – it’s unforgettable. I could’ve stayed there for hours just taking it all in. A must-visit if you’re in the region and looking for something real and raw"
