So I got to see the difference in the churches of Kaiserslautern. I went by the Apostelkirche (Apostle Church) which is a Protestant Church. I then saw the Stiftskirche (Collegiate Church) which is an Evangelical church. Both churches are amazing and I now know the difference. #kaiserslautern #germany #deutschland #rheinlandpfalz #stiftskirche #stiftskirchekaiserslautern #apostelkirche #apostelkir...

Reviews Summary

Visitors consistently praise the Collegiate Church Stiftskirche for its impressive architecture, particularly its Gothic elements and beautiful stained-glass windows. The historical significance, including the tombs and the reverent atmosphere, is also frequently highlighted. While generally well-received, occasional closures for construction can be a minor disappointment.

"Beautiful church, especially the windows are impressive."

Martine Moe

"This beautiful Romaneqsue-style church dates back to the 15th century though there are records of a church in Baden-Baden as early as 987 AD. The structure was built by Margrave Hermann V (the Pious, 1160-1243). It experienced a significant reconstruction in 1867 that added a Gothic theme and more updates and remodels since.

I did not tour the cemetery (too cold today!) but this is the final resting place of the Markgrafschaft Baden from when Baden was a territory of the Holy Roman Empire in 1112 and eventually unified with the Grand Duchy of Baden in 1806.

The church is well worth a visit and a tour. It is open during the daytime."

"Nice church, it was closed for construction unfortunately"
