Visiting Germany for 12 days – What should I check out?
Hey everyone, I’m heading to Germany soon for 12 days and will be spending time in **Berlin**, **Bonn**, and **Cologne**. I’m spending the first half in Berlin for about a week, then either flying or taking the train to west Germany for Bonn/Cologne. I’m trying to gather some…
Day trips around Cologne
Hi, I'll be in Cologne for a few days. Can you recommend me some nice cities to visit within 2 hours from Cologne. One day I think I'll go to Dusseldorf, but from what I've read, Duisburg- Essen- Dortmund are not so worth visiting, and Frankfurt I've already seen. I was thinking…

What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors find the Frauenmuseum Bonn to be an interesting and challenging space, offering unique insights into women's empowerment and gender issues. While some appreciate the unconventional, 'in-progress' atmosphere, others note the lack of English translations as a drawback. The museum is praised for its thought-provoking art and its special chapel, though it's described as a low-budget, private operation.
"Often interesting and always challenging to one's preconceptions, this relatively large and appealingly arranged space is well worth the 15 minute walk from Bonn's more conventional touristic attractions. Afterwards, I can recommend the pizza place next door!"
Steve Erwin
"A place which can provide scholars working in the areas of women empowerment, gender & feminism very useful insights related to the German society and it's historical evolution."
Subhadip Biswas
"This place is quirky and delightful, and seems to take a very relaxed attitude about what it means to be a museum. When I went there half the exhibits were on the floor waiting to be hung, but somehow it made for a wonderful viewing experience, and part of my though that they would be better left exactly where they were. The women at the front desk and cafe didn't speak English but that seemed to add to the authenticity of the place and the experience, which seemed magical and enchanted. The art was great too!"
