"An address that anyone who comes to Germany or Duesseldorf should visit, the Crispy Roasted Pork Leg with Pickled Purple Cabbage is a German specialty. With a crispy fried crust, the meat is soft and not dry, very rich, the famous fragrant dark beer makes the dish even more attractive to diners. The Steak and French fries are also very special, here you often have to wait because they do not accept reservations, there are many customers so it is only for those who love"

"A solid brewery in Dusseldorf. We came in for beers during lunch, and then for dinner for food and drinks again.
The servers are nice, they know English and they have a laugh with you.
Food comes in large portions, and is pretty tasty. The schnitzel was a solid 8/10, ive had better but it was certainly a good schnitzel. My missus had the herring fish with sour cream and potatoes, and she enjoyed it too.
Prices are decent. Good atmosphere. No complaints. We'll be back again."

"We visited this historic German restaurant, and while the building and atmosphere felt like stepping back a few hundred years, the experience was a bit mixed.
The food itself was quite good, but the menu is extremely limited if you don’t eat pork — about 99% of the dishes revolve around pork or beer. The only non-pork option we found was a chicken salad, which was tasty, but for Muslim or Jewish friends (or anyone avoiding pork), the lack of alternatives is a big drawback.
Another downside was the service. The waiter came off as quite rude and pushy — we were practically pressured into ordering beers before we could even place our food order. The beer itself wasn’t great, and by the end, we were presented with a bunch of small charges we didn’t fully expect. On top of that, when it came time to tip, we weren’t given space to reflect like you might get in the U.S.; instead, the waiter directly asked, “How much are you giving me?” and entered the amount on the machine himself, which felt a bit uncomfortable.
Overall, the building has charm, the food (if you can eat pork) is solid, but the limited menu, pushy service, and awkward tipping experience brought it down. On a 5-star scale, I’d give it a 4 out of 5."
