Reviews Summary

Visitors find the Archaeological Garden a free and interesting site showcasing Roman ruins with bilingual information and reconstructions. However, some note that it's not a major attraction and can be affected by construction, potentially detracting from the experience. Reddit+2

"Free tour. Only opens up at specific times of the day. Get to see some official Roman remains that they found after digging up to rebuild various buildings. Was nice to see some of the descriptions in both German and English. Some weren't and had to use Google translate. They even tried recreating what the structures would have looked like in Roman times. Really interested to take a look round"

Mike Rouse-Deane

"I recently visited the Roman ruins and was disappointed to see that they were not better protected. While it was interesting to see such ancient ruins in the midst of a modern city, the fact that a building had been constructed on top of them detracted from the experience. I would not recommend going out of your way to visit this site, as it is not well-preserved and does not offer a particularly memorable experience."

A. Faruk UNAL

"Great descriptions in German and English, images and artificial reconstructions. Shows the originally Roman ruins which have been built upon as the purpose of the space changed. It’s free and nice to walk through."
