Rooftop gardens in the CBD

Looking for a cool rooftop garden in the CBD with a nice view, accessible to the public. Visited a friend who lives in freshwater place in Southbank and there is a really nice garden on level 10. However, I don't think the public can access it. Looking for something similar.

Reviews Summary

Visitors rave about the spectacular, unobstructed 360-degree views of Hamburg's harbor and Elbe River from the Dockland Roof Terrace, calling it an architectural marvel. The free access and stunning sunset potential are major draws, though the climb up the external stairs and the lack of amenities like restrooms are noted drawbacks. Reddit+1

"Located right next to the harbour with fantastic views from the rooftop. Access is only available via the external steps there is no elevator or toilets here, it is a private office building having said that the view is spectacular even when your legs feel like lead when you’re going up and the building itself is impressive like a big wedge plonked on the harbours edge."

Dave Pearson

"The Dockland is an architectural icon in Hamburg, shaped like a parallelogram, with a sloping rooftop offering sweeping views of the harbour. The building itself is an office, but the roof and ground floor plaza is open to the public for free.

Climbing the staircase to the top takes about 10 minutes, and you can spend another 20-30 minutes around the space enjoying the spectacular views of the harbour and canal. I absolutely recommend visiting it if you’re in Hamburg."

Vikash Parbhoo

"Good place to take a look at the harbor, just be prepared for the wind at the very top. Also, the view point/terrace at the very top isn't that big. No access to elevators and you're not allowed to sit on the stairs."
