"This place is a must see, if in Hamburg. It offers a great variety of plants, from different parts of the world. Some trees which I haven't seen before.. just walk around and soak it all in- great place for a tranquil stay alone or with your family. Kids are more than welcome and have lots of activities which they can do. You don't need to buy a ticket, the entrance is free, which is an additional bonus to this great place."

"One of the best city-gardens I've ever been to. It's full of so many different types of flora and fauna, so many ecological systems, from desert to forest to glasslands and bamboo forest. There is a mini-river, a lake and so much more! One can keep coming back and finding new corners. And all this with:
- free entry
- lots of benches
- free toilets
- reasonably priced cafe
- different events going on from time to time.
What a gem. Highlight of my Hamburg visit."
